NEUROCARE Newsletter Autumn 2026

Thank you for your interest in our journey as we continue to strive towards a better future for all Patients suffering Neuropsychiatric disease.

We have had a tremendous journey as a Group the last three months!

Add-Memory Brandwacht, Stellenbosch

This office has grown with leaps-and-bounds!

We are proud to now offer dedicated Neuropsychology Assessments four days a week, and the quality and cost-effectiveness of this service is regularly commented on.

Thank you to Kirsty Carter, Taryn Fish and Marcelle Wagner for providing such a quality service to the tremendous benefit of all NEUROCARE Patients.

Our very own Educational Psychology service finally launched at NEUROCARE Brandwacht from April, and has already started making a valuable impact on scholars and students locally.

Thank you to Pauline Deetlefs for your positive attitude in pioneering this leg of NEUROCARE which is anticipated to add real scientific merit to the treatment of ADHD and ADD Patients of all ages.

Stellenbosch Medi-Clinic Liaison Service

This critical service to Colleagues operational at Stellenbosch Medi-Clinic and Winelands Rheumatology continues to develop and now boasts a seven days a week availability and daily emergency response capability.

Thank you to Dr Bianca Bailey for the way she has settled into this role supporting not only the NEUROCARE Specialists at these hospitals but helping to coordinate Patients of all associated Specialists to receive quality Neuropsychiatric care.

Home Support Service Growing Fast

We have managed to launch successfully a number of Home Support Services helping Patients to receive Dementia care where they live.

Our Somerset West presence has been well received with weekly activity at Heritage Manor and Bridgewater Manor. Services include local assessment, medication review and direct access to nearby hospitals when required.

Thank you to NEUROCARE Social Worker Juanee Pretorius for her instrumental presence in making it all happen!

Additionally we continue to strengthen ties with various Retirement Villages in and around Stellenbosch. Recently Le Clements has launched as an active NEUROACRE site, with several additional Home Support locations to follow soon.

NEUROCARE Neurolab Expansion

In recent months we have managed to improve the quality of Neurolab services significantly.

We now offer excellent 24-hour EEG examination available on Medical Aid seven days a week, whilst our daily routine EEG clinics enable access to all on the day of referral.

We welcome our very own experienced Technologist Jana Jacobs who is supported by Emma Hay to our Team, and thank them for the profound contribution they have already made to NEUROCARE service delivery all-round!

A warm thank you to all Professionals, Patients and Families who support us. We are excited to have commissioned a number of NEUROCARE projects in the next term which will be reported on in our Winter 2026 Newsletter!
