2. Specialist Psychiatrist

At NEUROCARE we perhaps most of anyone else understand that Psychiatrists are world-wide in high demand and considered a critical shortage profession.

Despite this fact we too are increasingly threatened by healthcare politics and corporate control. We are grateful to the good work done by our representative Organizations; however, all of us anticipate a much more focused required collective effort in the future in order to prevent us becoming salaried employees to Hospital groups, Insurance companies or over-regulated-restricted professionals.

However, we remain passionately positive about the future of Psychiatry in South Africa, provided we stand together in these times. The NEUROCARE initiative is likely to be crucial in order to remain a prosperous community on the southern tip of Africa.

We therefore ask you to consider joining our Organization in whatever way you wish. We have no other objective other than utilizing your expertise to help manage true specialist Neuropsychiatric service delivery to the massively growing population suffering such conditions.

By you joining we will grow to the benefit of all - and you will gain access to:

3. Specialist Neurologist

At NEUROCARE we perhaps most of anyone else understand that Neurologists are world-wide in high demand and considered a critical shortage profession.

Despite this fact Neurologists too are increasingly threatened by healthcare politics and corporate control. As a much smaller group compared to other medical professional groupings, Neurologists are increasingly finding themselves on the periphery of decision making processes, particularly in the private healthcare industry.

To Hospital groups and State decision-makers valuation is bed-occupancy biased, income-rated and time-consuming complex problems that does not end in lucrative operations or costly ICU admission is to them simply irrelevant.

All of us anticipate a much more focused required collective effort in the future in order to prevent us becoming salaried employees to Hospital groups, Insurance companies or over-regulated-restricted professionals.

However, we remain passionately positive about the future of Neurology in South Africa, provided we stand together in these times. The NEUROCARE initiative is likely to be crucial in order to remain a prosperous community on the southern tip of Africa. For Neurology, particularly private Neurology, joining the much larger grouping of Psychiatry and Psychology in a collective effort seems wise.
